Clash erupts between police and UML protesters outside Kathmandu District Court



KATHMANDU: A clash broke out between police and protesters outside the Kathmandu District Court on Saturday during a protest against the arrest of KP Sharma Oli, chair of the CPN-UML.

UML cadres had taken to the streets to protest Oli’s arrest. The clash occurred after demonstrators attempted to march from Maitighar Mandala toward New Baneshwor. Police tried to stop them in front of the court building at Babarmahal, leading to a confrontation.

The situation in the area remains tense as security personnel continue to monitor the protest.
