UML supporters take to streets after Oli’s arrest



KATHMANDU: Supporters and cadres of the CPN-UML have taken to the streets following the arrest of party chair KP Sharma Oli. Protesters set tires on fire on the road in front of the party’s central office in Chyasal.

Demonstrators have blocked the road and are shouting slogans aggressively. The situation is becoming tense, raising the possibility of clashes between protesters and police.

Security has been tightened in the area.
