Chinese FM Wang Yi congratulates Nepal’s new Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal



KATHMANDU: Wang Yi has congratulated Nepal’s newly appointed Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal on assuming office.

In the message sent on Friday, Wang highlighted that Nepal and China are traditionally friendly neighboring countries and noted that since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1955, the two nations have stood together in both good and challenging times.

He also said bilateral relations have continuously strengthened based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.

The message further stated that China is ready to cooperate with Minister Khanal to implement important agreements between the two countries and elevate the long-term, friendship-based strategic partnership for development and prosperity.
