Federal Parliament’s both Houses set to hold meetings today



KATHMANDU: Meetings of both houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to be held today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the House of Representatives will convene at 11:00 am, while the National Assembly meeting is scheduled for 1:15 pm.

The tentative agenda for the House of Representatives includes tabling the message received from the National Assembly regarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Preservation) Bill, 2081, which originated in the upper house. In addition, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to present the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, Minister for Information and Communications Dr. Bikram Timilsina is also expected to present a proposal seeking consideration of the Film Bill, 2082, which originated in the National Assembly.

Similarly, in the National Assembly meeting, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will present the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83. He is also expected to table a proposal to consider the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, 2082, which was received with a message from the House of Representatives.
