KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Educatio and Sports has invited suggestions on a proposed bill titled “Bill to Amend and Integrate Technical and Vocational Training.”

The ministry has made the draft bill available on its website, calling for feedback from stakeholders with the aim of making technical education and skill development more accessible and linking education and training with skills, labor, employment, production, and national prosperity.

According to the ministry, the bill has been drafted to produce a skilled workforce at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels capable of contributing to the country’s social and economic transformation.

The proposed integrated bill seeks to repeal the existing Technical Education and Vocational Training Council Act.

It also proposes granting the council authority to design curricula, provide affiliations, and determine educational institutions based on labor market needs.
