Newly elected MPs reach Singha Durbar to take oath of office



 

KATHMANDU: The newly elected members of the House of Representatives are set to take their oath of office and secrecy today. The ceremony is scheduled for 2 PM at Singha Durbar.

Senior member Arjun Narasingh KC will administer the oath, according to Ekram Giri, spokesperson for the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

MPs have begun arriving at the parliament hall at Singha Durbar to participate in the ceremony. The Secretariat noted that 63 members will take the oath in their mother tongue other than Nepali, with many attending in their traditional attire.
