Foreign Minister Khanal stresses diplomatic code of conduct for public office holders



KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal has said that the government is prioritizing stronger diplomatic practices through strict adherence to the diplomatic code of conduct for public office holders.

Speaking at a program organized by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Manamaiju, Tarakeshwar Municipality-10, the minister said efforts are underway to ensure uniform application of diplomatic standards across all levels of leadership, including the Prime Minister and ministers.

He said training sessions have been conducted for high-ranking officials to reinforce compliance with diplomatic norms and professional conduct in public office.

“We have organized training for everyone, including the Prime Minister and ministers, to ensure equal application of the diplomatic code,” Khanal said, stressing the importance of following established diplomatic regulations.

He further stated that the government is working toward good governance and prosperity in line with the party’s manifesto, adding that a policy of zero tolerance against corruption is being pursued.
