Senior member of HoR Arjun Narsingh KC takes oath



KATHMANDU: Arjun Narsingh KC, the senior member elected in the House of Representatives (HoR) election held on March 5, has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

KC took the oath before President Ram Chandra Paudel at a special program held at the President’s residence, Sheetal Niwas, on Wednesday morning.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, Chairman of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, heads of constitutional bodies, heads of diplomatic missions, and high-ranking officials.

In the House of Representatives election, 165 members were elected through the first-past-the-post system and 110 through the proportional representation system. Nepali Congress leader KC was elected through the proportional representation system.

Senior member KC is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the elected members of the House of Representatives on Thursday, March 26.
