BIRGUNJ: Nepal imported petroleum products worth Rs 123.67 billion in the first seven months of the current fiscal year, according to the Birgunj Customs Office, reflecting an increase compared to the same period last year.
The government collected Rs 52.15 billion in revenue from fuel imports during the review period. Diesel accounted for the largest share, with 702,300 kilolitres imported worth Rs 63.65 billion. Similarly, 200,388 kilolitres of petrol valued at Rs 25.30 billion were imported.
In addition, 202.22 million kilograms of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) worth Rs 20.85 billion were brought into the country during the same period.
