NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar slightly declining, while the euro, UK pound sterling, and Swiss franc have appreciated.

The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 149.89 and the selling rate at Rs 150.49. Similarly, the euro is priced at Rs 173.77 for buying and Rs 174.47 for selling, the UK pound sterling at Rs 200.97 and Rs 201.78, and the Swiss franc at Rs 190.42 and Rs 191.18, respectively.

Among other currencies, the Australian dollar stands at Rs 104.49 for buying and Rs 104.91 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 109.09 and Rs 109.52, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 117.19 and Rs 117.66.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.45 and the selling rate Rs 9.48, while the Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 21.75 and Rs 21.83. The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 39.93 for buying and Rs 40.09 for selling, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 41.03 and Rs 41.19.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.60 for buying and Rs 4.62 for selling, the UAE dirham at Rs 40.80 and Rs 40.97, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.88 and Rs 38.04, and the South Korean won at Rs 10.01 and Rs 10.05. The Swedish kronor is set at Rs 16.08 and Rs 16.14, while the Danish kronor stands at Rs 23.26 and Rs 23.35.

Likewise, the Hong Kong dollar is priced at Rs 19.15 for buying and Rs 19.23 for selling, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 488.88 and Rs 490.83, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 397.01 and Rs 398.60, and the Omani rial at Rs 389.32 and Rs 390.88. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, with the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as needed. Rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
