Gold and silver prices decline in local market



KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices continued to fall in the domestic market today, with gold dropping by Rs 2,200 per tola and silver by Rs 75.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has been set at Rs 296,500 per tola, while silver is trading at Rs 4,945 per tola.

On Thursday, gold was priced at Rs 298,700 per tola and silver at Rs 5,020. A day earlier, on Wednesday, gold had reached Rs 305,000 per tola, with silver at Rs 5,130.

In the international market, gold is currently trading at around $4,705 per ounce, while silver is priced at about $76 per ounce, according to international reports.
