One killed in Jhapa road accident



JHAPA: A 50-year-old motorcyclist, Shukdev Ganesh, died after his motorcycle collided with a car in Kachankawal Rural Municipality-4, Jhapa.

According to Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, spokesperson for the District Police Office, the accident occurred last night when a motorcycle travelling from Baniyani to Lodhabari collided with a car coming from the opposite direction. Ganesh sustained serious injuries in the crash.

He was rushed to Om Sai Pathibhara Hospital in Bhadrapur for treatment, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police have taken the car driver, 19-year-old Saijan Miyan, along with both vehicles into custody and are conducting further investigation.
