Home Minister Aryal inquires about health condition of Dhading crash victims



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has inquired about the health condition of those injured in last night’s bus accident in Dhading.

Minister Aryal visited Nepal National Hospital in Kalanki and the National Trauma Center to take updates on the condition of the injured and the treatment being provided.

During the visit, he assured that the government has placed high priority on the treatment of the injured and urged families not to have any doubts regarding medical care. He also instructed doctors at both hospitals to ensure there is no shortage or negligence in treatment.

The bus (Ga 2 Kha 1421) travelling from Pokhara to Kathmandu had fallen near the Trishuli River at Bhaisigauda, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5, Dhading, at around 1:30 am.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, 19 of the 44 passengers on board lost their lives in the incident, while 25 others were injured. The injured are receiving treatment at the Trauma Center and other hospitals in Kathmandu.

Earlier today, a meeting chaired by Minister Aryal at the Ministry of Home Affairs decided to prioritise treatment of the injured and form an investigation committee to ascertain the facts surrounding the accident.
