HoR session to continue today with key bills on agenda



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is continuing today, with several legislative proposals scheduled for discussion, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

The session will be held at Singha Durbar at 11 am, the Secretariat said.

In today’s meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, representing Prime Minister Balendra Shah, is expected to present proposals for consideration of the House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS, and the Voters’ Roll (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS.

She is also scheduled to table the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081 BS for deliberation.

Similarly, Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle will present a proposal for clause-wise discussion on the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, 2082 BS, along with amendments received on the bill.

According to the possible agenda, the Finance Minister will also move a proposal for the passage of the same bill in the House.
