KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health has issued a circular instructing all subordinate bodies to implement its newly revised name following a government decision.
The change has been made in line with the Cabinet decision according to the ministry.
The ministry’s internal administration branch stated that the revised name was also published in the Gazette on May 13.
As per the new arrangement, the ministry’s Nepali name has been changed to “Health and Food Safety Ministry,” while its English name has been designated as the “Health and Food Security Ministry.”
A circular issued by Section Officer Nanda Kishor Yadav has instructed all subordinate agencies to immediately implement the new name in official use.
The ministry has also directed its IT division to update the official website and other records in accordance with the new nomenclature.
