MP raises issue of allegation against Krishna Kumar Karki in Parliament

KATHMANDU: Allegations that Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Krishna Kumar Karki impregnated a Nigerian woman and later abandoned her were raised in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

During today’s House meeting, MP Parvati Bishwakarma drew the government’s attention to the matter, stating that the issue widely circulating on social media has raised serious concern.

“It is all over social media that a ruling party MP made a foreign woman pregnant and then disappeared. This has created a very painful situation,” she said.

MP Bishwakarma further said the incident could also damage Nepal’s international image.

“What is the perception of Nepalis in the international community? What about our national dignity? How do they see our country and understand us?” she questioned in the House.
