RSP Vice-Chair Swarnim Wagle predicts 60% votes from Madhesh in upcoming elections

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice-Chair Swarnim Wagle has predicted that his party will secure 60 percent of the votes from Madhesh Province in the upcoming elections.

Addressing a rally in Janakpur on Monday, Wagle said that while RSP had received fewer than 100,000 votes from the region in the 2022 elections, the party is confident of winning a significantly larger share this time.

“In the previous elections, our party received less than 100,000 votes as we were still establishing our presence. This time, out of 3.3–3.4 million voters here, 60 percent of the votes will go to RSP,” Wagle said.

He also said RSP would not alter the current structure of the seven provinces but aims to correct distortions within the federal system.
