Lamichhane te RSP lawmakers to stay cautious, warns of efforts to topple govt

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chai Rabi Lamichhane has urged party lawmakers to exercise restraint, warning that forces may attempt to topple the government from the very day it is formed.

Addressing lawmakers during an orientation program on Wednesday, Lamichhane stressed the need for discipline and responsibility in both conduct and public statements.

“From the very evening the government is formed, various forces will be activated to bring it down. You must remain alert,” he said.

He cautioned lawmakers against making irresponsible remarks without proper study, stating that such actions could undermine public trust.

“People may enjoy speaking in the media and seeing their names in the news, but voters are closely watching what you say and do,” Lamichhane said, urging lawmakers to assess the impact of their statements.

He said as elected representatives, lawmakers must act responsibly and uphold the dignity of their roles.

“If you wish to continue making careless remarks as before, then you should step away from your role as a lawmaker,” he warned.
