UML to hold demonstration in Kathmandu today



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is set to organize a public demonstration and mass assembly in Kathmandu today.

The Bagmati Province Committee of UML has planned an election-focused public demonstration at Bhrikutimandap this afternoon. The procession will begin at Bhrikutimandap, proceed to Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, and conclude as a public meeting, according to Province Committee Chairman Kailash Dhungel.

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the gathering at 12 noon. The Bagmati Province Committee has organized the demonstration to launch a special election campaign ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives elections. The UML has finalized candidates for most constituencies, with only a few remaining seats pending.
