UML’s Tamang calls for analysis of RSP votes, suggests chemical testing of ballots



KATHMANDU: Sher Bahadur Tamang of the UML has called for a detailed analysis of the votes received by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the recent election.

Speaking at a program organized by Reporters Club Nepal on Monday, Tamang acknowledged that the RSP had secured strong public support and achieved significant success in the polls.

“The RSP has received strong public support and unprecedented votes from the people. However, how those votes were obtained still needs to be examined,” he said.

Tamang also suggested that ballot papers from some constituencies could be subjected to chemical testing to better understand the voting patterns and results.
