RSP’s Swarnim Wagle says party’s nation-building campaign to begin from Madhesh

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said the party’s nationwide “campaign to unite and rebuild the country” will begin from Madhesh.

Posting a photo with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah on Thursday morning, Wagle said RSP leaders, including party chair Rabi Lamichhane, would travel to Janakpur on January 19.

“On January 19, we are coming to Janakpur along with Chair Rabi Lamichhane. The grand campaign to unite and build the country will start from Madhesh, with the way out through the election on March 5,” Wagle wrote.

He also said that RSP is holding phased discussions with Mayor Balen Shah, whom he described as the party’s proposed prime minister, on a range of national policy issues.

According to Wagle, the discussions are focused on economic reforms, growth, employment, revenue and expenditure management, modern infrastructure, and the delivery model implemented by Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The post has added fresh momentum to RSP’s political campaign as the party prepares for the upcoming general election.
