PM Balen Shah likely to address Parliament today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Balendra Shah (Balen) is scheduled to respond today to lawmakers’ discussions on the government’s policy and programme in the House of Representatives (HoR).

Wednesday’s parliamentary session was adjourned after Speaker DP Aryal informed lawmakers that the Prime Minister would attend Thursday’s meeting in person to answer questions and concerns related to the government’s policy and programme.

Efforts were made to resume the House meeting for a third time on Wednesday, but proceedings could not continue as opposition parties resumed their obstruction immediately after the session began.

Following the repeated disruptions, the Speaker adjourned the meeting. He also informed the House that Prime Minister Shah would personally attend the next session to respond to issues raised during deliberations on the government’s policy and programme.
