NEA announces power cuts in parts of Kathmandu today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced scheduled power cuts in several areas of Kathmandu today to conduct line maintenance and pole installation work.

In a public notice, the Authority said electricity supply will be disrupted in areas served by the Gothatar and Battisputli feeders. Maintenance work will be carried out on the 11 kV line distributed from these feeders under the Baneshwar Distribution Center, covering areas including Pepsicola and Town Planning.

Power will remain suspended in the Pepsicola and Town Planning areas from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm for the repair of dilapidated poles and new line connections.

Similarly, electricity supply will be cut in Mid-Baneshwar, Old Baneshwar, and Battisputli from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, according to the notice.

The NEA said electricity service will resume earlier if the maintenance work is completed before the scheduled time and apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers.
