56 polling stations classified as highly sensitive in Kaski ahead of elections



KASKI: A total of 56 polling stations have been categorized as highly sensitive in Kaski district ahead of the upcoming elections.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Shiva Lamsal, out of 153 polling stations across the district’s three constituencies, 54 have been identified as sensitive and 43 as normal.

In Kaski Constituency-1, 19 polling stations are classified as highly sensitive, 28 as sensitive and 14 as normal. In Constituency-2, seven polling stations fall under the highly sensitive category, eight are sensitive and 18 are normal.

Similarly, in Constituency-3, 30 polling stations have been designated as highly sensitive, 18 as sensitive and 11 as normal.

Lamsal said on-site monitoring is being conducted to assess the geographical location of polling centres, physical infrastructure and other relevant factors.

A total of 49 candidates are contesting in the three constituencies, with 308,572 registered voters eligible to cast their ballots in the district.
