KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is set to leave for a three-day official visit to China on Sunday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, Khanal will hold bilateral talks in Beijing with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening Nepal-China relations and advancing cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
The foreign minister is also scheduled to meet senior Chinese officials during his stay.
As part of the visit, Khanal will participate in an investment conference organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, where he will engage with Chinese business leaders and promote foreign investment opportunities in Nepal.
He will also attend a reception hosted by the Nepali embassy and interact with members of the Nepali community living in China.
According to the ministry, Khanal is expected to return to Kathmandu on June 17.
