Govt to integrate land administration services and expand them to local levels

KATHMANDU: The government has announced plans to integrate land surveying and land revenue services and gradually expand unified land administration services to all local levels.

Presenting the policy and program in a joint session of Parliament on Monday, President Ram Chandra Paudel made the announcement.

He said the integration aims to make land-related services more efficient, accessible and streamlined across the country.

The government also stated that it will ensure a balanced approach between land ownership and land use.

Similarly, the policy and program includes provisions for a long-term solution to the issues of landless Dalits, squatters and unmanaged settlers living in unsafe areas by providing safe and appropriate housing arrangements.
