KATHMANDU: The government has announced that it will undertake diplomatic initiatives to increase international flights by additional airlines at the regional international airports in Pokhara and Bhairahawa.
The policy was introduced through the government’s policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year.
The two airports, which were constructed with foreign loans, have not been able to attract more international regional flights mainly due to the lack of suitable air routes, particularly from India. As a result, additional international airlines have yet to begin regular operations at these airports.
