BPKIHS Dharan to implement two-day weekly public holiday

DHARAN: The BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, has decided to implement a two-day weekly public holiday starting from May 15.

The decision has been taken in line with the Government of Nepal’s Council of Ministers’ decision and a circular from the Ministry of Health and Population.

According to a notice issued by spokesperson Prof. Dr. Shamsher Shrestha, the outpatient services, administrative units, and academic offices will remain completely closed every Saturday and Sunday.

However, inpatient services and emergency services will continue without interruption.

Previously, the hospital operated outpatient and administrative services on a half-day basis on Fridays. With the new arrangement, all services on working days will now operate for full office hours as per regular schedule.
