KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) is preparing to publish this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results.
The board has accelerated its preparations after the government set May 12 as the final deadline for publishing the results.
Controller of Examinations for Grade 10, Tuka Raj Adhikari, said all marks have already been entered into the computer system and the verification process is nearly complete.
“The government instructed us to publish the SEE results by May 12, and we are working accordingly. The marks entry process has been completed, and cross-checking for possible errors is almost done. If no technical problems arise, we will publish the results on Tuesday,” Adhikari said.
The Examination Control Office has also issued a notice explaining how students can access their results.
According to the office, SEE results can be viewed through SMS services or directly via official websites.
This year’s SEE examination began on Chaitra 19 from 1,966 examination centres across the country. A total of 512,421 students had registered for the exams, including 23 students appearing from a centre in Japan.
The examinations concluded on April 12.
While SEE results were usually published around three months after the exams in previous years, Education, Science and Technology Minister Sasmit Pokharel had directed the board to publish the results within one month even before the examinations began.
The board said answer sheets were checked within three days of the examinations at the respective exam centres this year to speed up the process.
How to check SEE results
The board has published a list of official websites and services through which students can check their SEE results.
Students can access results through SMS, IVR services, and various official websites. Nepal Telecom has also arranged facilities to check results through calls, SMS, and USSD services using the number 1600.
