Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Sunday). According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 143.97, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.57.

The buying and selling rates for other major currencies are as follows: the euro at Rs 167.65 and Rs 168.35, the UK pound sterling at Rs 193.09 and Rs 193.90, and the Swiss franc at Rs 180.02 and Rs 180.77, respectively.

Similarly, the Australian dollar is being traded at Rs 96.22 (buying) and Rs 96.62 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 103.80 and Rs 104.23, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 111.90 and Rs 112.37.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.13 and the selling rate at Rs 9.17. One Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 20.62 (buying) and Rs 20.71 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 38.39 (buying) and Rs 38.55 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 39.39 and Rs 39.55.

According to NRB, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.58. The UAE dirham is priced at Rs 39.20 (buying) and Rs 39.36 (selling), the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 35.34 and Rs 35.49, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.87 and Rs 9.92.

Likewise, the Swedish krona is traded at Rs 15.61 (buying) and Rs 15.67 (selling), and the Danish krone at Rs 22.44 and Rs 22.53. The Hong Kong dollar stands at Rs 18.47 and Rs 18.55.

Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs 471.11 (buying) and Rs 473.07 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 381.91 and Rs 383.50, and the Omani rial at Rs 373.96 and Rs 375.52.

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15. NRB stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. The rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the most updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
