Three-year-old girl dies after eating wild mushrooms in Dang



DANG: A three-year-old girl has died after falling ill from eating wild mushrooms in Gadhwa Rural Municipality-1, Dang.

According to Hem Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Dang, Laxmi Majhi, a resident of Banghusri in Gadhwa, died while undergoing treatment last night.

Laxmi and her mother, 26-year-old Sumitra Majhi, wife of Rishi Majhi, fell ill after consuming wild mushrooms. Both were taken to Bhaluwang Hospital for treatment.

After receiving initial treatment, Laxmi was referred to Lamahi Hospital for further care, where doctors declared her dead, DSP KC said. Sumitra has recovered and been discharged from the hospital, police said.
