KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah held a courtesy meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Monday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen Nepal-China relations, expand cooperation in various sectors and enhance development partnership between the two countries.
Prime Minister Shah stressed the need to deepen Nepal’s longstanding relations with China and work together in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Zhang congratulated Shah on assuming office and expressed commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Nepal and China.
The meeting came on the same day Shah held a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava.
The back-to-back meetings with the ambassadors of Nepal’s two immediate neighbours mark a recent increase in Shah’s diplomatic engagements.
