Lawmaker Rai says Nepal being mocked globally for failing to unite on national issues



KATHMANDU: Shram Sanskriti Party lawmaker Dhrubaraj Rai has said Nepal is being mocked internationally for failing to stand united on issues of national importance.

Speaking briefly during Monday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Rai said people around the world were expressing their disapproval of Nepal’s failure to present a united position on national issues.

“I have been saying that we need to stand united. Now, it is not only Nepalis but people around the world who are expressing disapproval,” Rai said.

Rai made the brief statement before taking his seat.
