Nepali Embassy urges nationals in UAE to keep passports safe



KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi has urged Nepali nationals living in the United Arab Emirates to keep their important documents safe.

Issuing a notice on Tuesday, the embassy requested around 700,000 Nepalis residing and working in the UAE to ensure the safety of their documents.

The embassy advised Nepalis to regularly check the validity of their passports and keep digital copies of important documents such as passports, citizenship certificates and Emirates ID cards.

“ All Nepalis residing and working in the UAE are requested to check the validity of their passports in time and keep digital copies of important documents such as passports, citizenship certificates and Emirates IDs safe,” the notice stated.

The embassy also requested those visiting the embassy or consulate offices for services to remain aware of their personal safety and the security situation in their area.

It further urged them to follow local information and security protocols before visiting the embassy or consulate offices.
