Karnali Province to expand Cabinet after three-point agreement

KARNALI: Karnali Province Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi has said that the provincial Cabinet will be expanded soon following the three-point agreement reached between the CPN-UML and the Nepali Communist Party (NCP).

Chief Minister Shahi said discussions on the expansion of the provincial government are currently underway. “With the agreement in place, the Cabinet will be expanded very soon,” he said.

Shahi said that since all seven provinces are expected to implement the three-point agreement, the process has taken some time. However, he clarified that government activities are continuing as usual. Shahi was elected Chief Minister on July 28 with the support of the CPN-UML.
