KATHMANDU: Light rain and snowfall are likely in parts of Nepal today as westerly winds influence weather conditions, bringing partial cloud cover to several mountainous and hilly regions.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division, partial cloud cover currently prevails over the mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while most other parts of the country are experiencing mainly clear weather.
This afternoon, partly cloudy conditions are expected in the mountainous and hilly regions, while the Terai is likely to remain mostly clear.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the mountainous regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
According to the Division, partly cloudy conditions are likely to continue tonight in the mountainous and hilly regions of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with other mountainous areas. The weather is expected to remain mainly clear in the remaining parts of the country.
