Four arrested with 418 Kg of marijuana in Sunsari



SUNSARI: Police have arrested four people with 418 kg of marijuana from Barahakshetra Municipality-1 along the Barahakshetra-Chatara road.

Police recovered the marijuana packed in 22 bundles while searching a car and a motorcycle travelling from Barahakshetra towards Chatara, according to Chandra Bahadur Khadka, information officer at the District Police Office.

Those arrested have been identified as 34-year-old Thaman Rai of Dharan-13, who was driving the car, 22-year-old Jeevani Rai of Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality-5, Okhaldhunga, who was travelling in the car, and motorcycle rider Amar Kamat, 26, of Katahari Rural Municipality-3, Morang, along with 38-year-old Shankar Chaudhary of the same locality.

The four suspects have been detained at the Area Police Office in Mahendranagar for further investigation.
