20 people arrested with drugs from various locations



KATHMANDU: A police team on regular patrol arrested 20 people with drugs from various locations across the country.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, the arrests were made in Bhaktapur, Rupandehi, Nawalparasi West, Makawanpur, Palpa, Dang, Jhapa, Dhankuta, and Bara districts.

One person was arrested from Sallaghari in Bhaktapur Municipality-1, one from Lokanthali in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-1, one from Thutepipal in Omsatiya Rural Municipality-1 of Rupandehi, one from Udayapur in Siddharthanagar Municipality-9, and one from Piprahawa in Ramgram Municipality-17 of Nawalparasi West.

Similarly, one person was arrested from Chuchekhola in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-6 of Makawanpur, one from Mowti Sheetalnagar in Rampur Municipality-7 of Palpa, five from Jhigai in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-17 of Dang, three from Thumbedin Hotel and Lodge at the bus park in Arjundhara Municipality-11 of Jhapa, one from Kotihom in Kankai Municipality-4, two from Mangmaya in Pakhribas Municipality-5 of Dhankuta, and one from Gobas Tole in Mahagadhimai Municipality-10 of Bara.

Police said brown heroin, marijuana, and controlled drugs including tramadol, which can only be purchased with a doctor’s prescription, were recovered from the accused. The suspects were arrested on Friday and last Thursday.
