Govt to request President Paudel to address joint Parliament session on May 11



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to request President Ram Chandra Paudel to address a joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Monday, May 11.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Sasmit Pokharel shared the Cabinet decisions following the meeting.

The Cabinet also decided to remove 15 honorary Nepali consuls general and consuls stationed abroad from their posts.

In addition, the government approved the tabling of two international labor-related conventions in the Federal Parliament under the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.

The Cabinet granted approval to present the 2014 Protocol No. 29 to the International Labour Organization Forced Labour Convention, 1930, before Parliament.

Similarly, approval was given to table the Labour Inspection Convention, 1947 (C081) of the International Labour Organization in the Federal Parliament for ratification.
