KATHMANDU: The election for the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for Friday.
Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal announced the election date during Wednesday’s House meeting, in accordance with Rule 8 of the House of Representatives Regulations 2022.
He also directed the Secretary of the House of Representatives, Harkaraj Rai, to publish the election schedule.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, nominations for the post will be registered on Thursday.
The next meeting of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for Friday at 4:00 pm.
