KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah held a collective meeting and interaction with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions based in Nepal on Wednesday.
The meeting took place at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from countries including India, Pakistan, South Korea, United Kingdom, Qatar, Switzerland, France, Israel, Japan, Bangladesh, Germany, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, China, United States, and the United Nations were present.
During the meeting, envoys congratulated Prime Minister Shah and extended best wishes for a successful tenure. They also expressed commitment to supporting the Government of Nepal in delivering results that benefit the Nepali people.
Prime Minister Shah reiterated Nepal’s balanced and pragmatic foreign policy, stressing the need to strengthen relations with neighbors, friendly nations, and development partners based on trust, mutual respect, and shared prosperity.
He highlighted peace as a shared priority and emphasized that the safety and welfare of Nepali workers and diaspora abroad remain a top government concern.
The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to good governance, economic development, and improving the living standards of citizens.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, Political Advisor Asim Shah, Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal, and Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, among other officials.
