KATHMANDU: A 44-year-old man has been arrested for physically assaulting a senior citizen in a public area.
The District Police Range, Kathmandu, apprehended Prakash Chhetri following a video of the incident at Basantapur Durbar Square that went viral on social media, showing his violent behavior toward the elderly victim.
Chhetri, a resident of Thankot, Chandragiri Municipality, is currently under investigation for indecent conduct and has been held in custody for five days, the police said.
