NRB sets foreign exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 148.52 and the selling rate at Rs 149.12. The euro is being traded at Rs 171.60 for buying and Rs 172.29 for selling, while the UK pound sterling stands at Rs 196.67 (buying) and Rs 197.46 (selling). The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 185.68 for buying and Rs 186.43 for selling.

Among other currencies, the Australian dollar is valued at Rs 102.93 (buying) and Rs 103.35 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 106.70 and Rs 107.13, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 115.62 and Rs 116.08, respectively.

For Asian and Gulf currencies, the exchange rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.29 for buying and Rs 9.33 for selling, while the Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.66 and Rs 21.75. The Saudi riyal has been fixed at Rs 39.55 (buying) and Rs 39.71 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.74 and Rs 40.90.

Similarly, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.55 (buying) and Rs 4.57 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.44 and Rs 40.60, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 36.84 and Rs 36.99. The exchange rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 9.90 for buying and Rs 9.94 for selling. The Swedish krona is set at Rs 15.61 and Rs 15.68, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 22.96 and Rs 23.06.

The Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 18.95 (buying) and Rs 19.03 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 483.86 and Rs 485.81, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 393.38 and Rs 394.97, and the Omani rial at Rs 385.77 and Rs 387.32. Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees have been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank noted that the exchange rates are subject to revision as needed, and rates set by commercial banks may vary. Updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
