Lamichhane calls for responsible conduct by RSP leaders and supporters

CHITWAN: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has said that party leaders and cadres must exercise restraint during the election period.

Addressing a cadre interaction and party entry program organized at the RSP office in Bharatpur on Thursday, Lamichhane stressed that RSP leaders and supporters need to act responsibly.

“There is an allegation against the RSP that its supporters engage in verbal abuse. We must rise above that and become more cultured,” he said, adding that the present time demands maturity and good judgment.

Describing elections as the most beautiful aspect of democracy, Lamichhane said there is no alternative to elections in a democratic system. “Please stop talking about disrupting elections. Elections are the best way to end disorder. No one should attempt to obstruct the electoral process from anywhere,” he said.

He also stated that the RSP would not engage in politics of revenge and urged party cadres to remain responsible toward everyone. Lamichhane said the party needs to grow stronger to fulfill the dreams of the entire country and the younger generation.

He added that the RSP is in the process of selecting candidates by prioritizing national and public interest over personal gain.
