Marriott International chairman highlights luxury hospitality growth



KATHMANDU: David Marriott, Chairman of Marriott International, has said Nepal is emerging as a promising destination for luxury hospitality as he toured an upcoming Luxury Collection property in Kathmandu during his first visit to the country.

During the visit, he met property owners Shesh Ghale and Jamuna Gurung Ghale at the site, marking a significant milestone for Nepal’s luxury hospitality sector.

The hotel, which is set to become the first Marriott-managed Luxury Collection property in South Asia, is being developed under the ownership of Shesh Ghale and Jamuna Ghale Gurung.

The owners welcomed Marriott on site, highlighting their vision of positioning Nepal as an emerging destination in the region’s luxury hospitality landscape.
