Two motorcycle riders die in truck collision in Lalitpur



KATHMANDU: Two people died after their motorcycle collided with a truck in Thasikhel, Lalitpur, on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident involved a truck bearing registration number Madhes Province 03-001 Kha 8068 and a motorcycle with registration AAA 3542 on the road in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-14.

The victims, Bidur Gurung, 65, a resident of Sunsari, Sanepa, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2, and his mother, Dhanmaya Gurung, 85, sustained serious injuries and died while undergoing treatment at Alka Hospital, according to the Police Central News Room, Naxal.

The truck driver has been taken into custody, and authorities are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
