Proxy candidate nabbed while taking SEE exam

SUNSARI: An exam impersonator has been arrested from the Shree Prithvi Narayan Secondary School examination center in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-4, Sunsari.

A team from the District Police Office apprehended 20-year-old Nusrat Khatun of Harinagar-6 for appearing in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) on behalf of another candidate.

According to Superintendent of Police Keshav Thebe, Khatun was found taking the examination using an admit card issued in the name of her sister-in-law, Salma Azhar. Although she had been sitting for the exams since the first day, she was taken into custody after the impersonation was discovered.

Police said that Salma Azhar, a Grade 10 student at Jamia Islamia Madrasa in Bhokraha-2, is currently in Qatar.

Sunsari Chief District Officer Basudev Ghimire stated that legal action will be taken against Khatun, as impersonation in public examinations is a violation of the Education Act.
