Vice President Yadav unwell, admitted to hospital



KATHMANDU: Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has been admitted to hospital after falling unwell.

He was admitted to the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center in Maharajgunj at around 9 pm on Monday.

Hospital Director Dr. Ratnamani Gajurel said he was admitted due to high blood pressure. “He was brought to the hospital after feeling unwell while sleeping at night. His blood pressure was high at the time of admission,” Dr. Gajurel said, adding that he was also experiencing gastric discomfort.

According to Dr. Gajurel, the Vice President’s condition is now stable. “Some test reports have come back normal, while others are still pending,” he said.

A medical team led by Dr. Gajurel, along with a gastroenterologist, is involved in his treatment.
