Foreign currency exchange rates fixed for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for Thursday.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 151.90 and the selling rate at Rs 152.50.

The buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 175.26 and the selling rate at Rs 175.95. The UK pound sterling has been set at Rs 204.57 for buying and Rs 205.38 for selling, while the Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 187.66 and Rs 188.40 respectively.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 107.01 for buying and Rs 107.44 for selling. The Canadian dollar has been set at Rs 107.99 and Rs 108.42, while the Singapore dollar has been fixed at Rs 118.47 and Rs 118.94 respectively.

For Asian and Gulf currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.63 and the selling rate is Rs 9.67. The Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.51 for buying and Rs 22.60 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at Rs 40.45 and Rs 40.60, while the Qatari riyal has been fixed at Rs 41.66 and Rs 41.83 respectively.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.57 and a selling rate of Rs 4.59. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.36 for buying and Rs 41.52 for selling, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.11 and Rs 37.26, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 10.66 and Rs 10.70 respectively.

The Swedish kronor has been fixed at Rs 15.94 for buying and Rs 16.01 for selling, while the Danish kronor has been set at Rs 23.45 and Rs 23.54 respectively.

The buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.37 and the selling rate at Rs 19.44. The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at Rs 494.63 for buying and Rs 496.58 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 402.86 and Rs 404.46, and the Omani rial at Rs 394.53 and Rs 396.09 respectively.

The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00, while the selling rate has been set at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that the rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
