NEW DELHI: Nepal’s Foreign Minister, Shishir Khanal, held talks with Vijay Chauthaiwale, head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in New Delhi on Saturday.
According to the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, the meeting focused on strengthening Nepal–India bilateral relations, expanding cooperation between political parties, and further deepening people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The embassy said the two leaders exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to advance Nepal–India relations through broader and multidimensional cooperation.
Foreign Minister Khanal arrived in New Delhi on Friday for an official visit to India at the friendly invitation of S. Jaishankar.
During the visit, high-level meetings and discussions are expected to continue on various aspects of Nepal–India relations, bilateral cooperation, and issues of regional interest.
